MISSION STATEMENT & GOALS

Mission Statement

The RCD Youth Group and its Youth Council will provide their members with training opportunities in Independent Living skills and self advocacy, leadership building, knowledge of civic responsibilities and a hands-on experience in making a difference in the community.

Goal & Objective

RCD Youth Group’s Goal:

• To provide youth with disabilities the opportunity to be an active member of the community through improving their physical and psychological well-being
• To reach out to youth community to develop a youth strategy to promote youth’s engagement in the community

Youth Council’s Objective:

Composed of youth with various disabilities as well as able bodies, the Youth Council will be responsible in acting as a voice for their community to plan a series of specialized and customized skills and leadership training to support their members through ongoing implementations, evaluations, and improvements of activity plans to promote more active engagement of youth with disability in the community.
